Shinjuku-Nishiguchi-Family Nursery (www.family.cx) seeks a full-time nursery worker who speaks fluent English, and only if possible, proficient in Japanese enough to pass the N3-N2 level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). Please contact us if you meet the following requirements:
* Experience: If you have “no” experience at preschool or nursery or daycare facility working with infants or/and toddlers, then you are NOT eligible to apply for this position. Successful candidates will be required not only to teach English to toddlers but also change diapers, clean the rooms and toilets, do the laundry, feed babies and toddlers, and all kinds of daycare-related tasks efficiently in close collaboration with the other workers. In your resume, please describe your experiences specifically in the related areas.
* Full-Time: Monday through Friday, 8 hours of work with an hour of lunch break, between 7 am and 8 pm, according to our pre-scheduled shift-calendar. Occasionally, we may ask you to work on Saturday or/and a few extra late hours. For more detail, please contact us as we are willing to consider your convenience. Even though the form of our contract with you will be made for the part timers, practically you will be working full time.
* Language: You must be fluent in English and do not need to speak Japanese. However, if your Japanese proficiency is at around the N3-N2 level of JLPT for the "Kosodate Shien" certificate, as described below, you will be paid 300 yen / hour higher than otherwise. You may want to show some proof of your English proficiency, such as your TOEIC score, unless your first language is English.
* Certificate level and Experience will make your compensation level:
-- 1,500 yen/hour if you are certified as “子育て支援員 Kosodate-shienin” by Tokyo Metoropolitan govermnent, for which you may need to be proficient in Japanese at aroud N2-N3 level or more of JLPT in our estimate.
-- 1,200 yen/hour if you are not certified as “Kosodate Shienin”.
-- If you are currently studying Japanese to become proficient enough to complete the Japanese seminar for the “Kosodate-Shienin” even while working with us and get successfully certified, then your pay will be raised from 1,200 yen/hr to 1,500 yen/hr.
* Trial period: Successful candidates who have the “Kosodate Shienin” certificate will have a three (3) month of trial period initially, while you would be paid the same as described above. If you do not have the ”Kosodate Shienin” certificate, your trial period will last until you get certified.
* Immigration Status: Please read all the requirements above carefully and If you meet all of them, please contact us for more detail to ensure your eligibility to legally work in Japan. If you are already living in Japan legally, please bring your "residency card (在留カード)" and passport when you visit us for interview.
